Pirates for Sail

This pirate band from Baltimore, USA plays a mix of spirit-rousing sea shanties, Irish drinking tunes, and maritime ballads. Pirates for Sail (also known to their fans as the Crew of the Drunken Ferret and the Drunken Ferret T’Barnacle Choir) has been navigating the waterways and watering holes of Maryland since 2005.

Stormfrun

Another great Swedish pirate folk band which has been playing both their own songs and traditional ones for over ten years. With lyrics both in English and Swedish, their songs tell about the life of a pirate and the struggle against injustice and power. Instruments played include the bouzoki, guitar, bass, violin, hurdy gurdy, banjo, mandolin, nyckelharpa, and accordion.

The Dolmen

The Dolmen have released over 20 albums covering everything from traditional Celtic folk right through to electric rock. The band from Weymouth in the UK was founded by the prolific singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist Taloch Jameson in the 90s. The current line up are Taloch Jameson himself as the frontman, lead singer and guitarist, joined by Josh Elliott, lead guitarist & vocals, Connach Jameson on electric guitar, bass guitar & vocals and Lena M PaaK on bass guitar, vocals & Keyboards as well as Rob Van Barschot on drums.

Pride of Bedlam

Pride O’ Bedlam, a pirate music band based in Houston, Texas have been perorming drinking songs, sea shanties, and pirate music for over ten years. With guitar, violin, bass and drums accompanied by both male and female vocals, they play catchy, melodic songs easy to sing along to.
